Carnival Corporation

Overview

This project was incredibly ambitious. A massive investment focused on transforming the entire ship ecosystem. This included booking, embarkation, dining, excursions, onboard events & activities, in-cabin entertainment, destination experiences, point of sale systems, media, gaming, and so much more.

Goals

Deliver the most connected, immersive, frictionless, and transparent guest experience.

Create a new level of service that is enabled by technology, but not technology centric. This is achieved through deeply personalized guest experiences that are simple and hassle free.

Things which are different in order simply to be different are seldom better, but that which is made to be better is almost always different.
— Dieter Rams

Case Study

Carnival Corporation

Carnival Corporation invested $1b into creating a transformative guest experience. Experience Manager became there tool to deliver and manage their guest experiences across web, mobile, signage, kiosks, and more. They use it today to manage their MedallionClass ships.

Products

Carnival Corporation licensed Experience Manager, a product I envisioned and brought to fruition, to manage most of their guest experiences. This included 4000+ interactive displays per ship, guest companion applications, off-board OTT, and brand websites.

Component Library

A component library was built for every OS and device type. Keeping all teams in sync was critical as independent teams worked on different products across this project.
